Hello to the second week of 2022! As we pace ourselves, arrange and organize our schedules so we can make our holistic health a top priority (averaging 4 iGnite classes per week and moving every day); and as we consider all we'd like to boldly pursue and create in 2022, I encourage you to also consider doing the following:
Collect inspiring, encouraging and empowering quotes, scripture, mantras, stories and information... and read and absorb it every single day. In fact, for best results, start and finish your day with this information.
Discipline yourself and avoid reading, looking at and listening to uninspiring, non-encouraging and non-empowering information, as this is stress/anxiety-inducing which increases cortisol, increases inflammation in your body and negatively impacts your holistic health, and therefore life.
The other 163 Hours Each Week- The time we spend in iGnite--investing in our body, mind and spirit is realistically, and at best, 5 hours each week. The way we expand upon our time and maximize our holistic health results occurs after iGnite--the other 23 hours of the day, or 163 hours a week.
As a result of needing to improve my own mental and spiritual health, during our Body, Mind and Spirit Reboot in October, I began implementing the practice of protecting my heart and mind, and became very selective with what I watched, read and listened to, as well as what I started and finished my day watching/listening as well. The result has been staggering....almost indescribable. The best way to describe it is I'm much more present, I am no longer spinning, I am thinking more clearly and I don't feel like my head is going to explode. The chaos that was occurring in my head and heart has significantly reduced. In fact, when I asked Russell, my husband, if I seemed different, his response was: "How long do you have?"
In conclusion, I really do think in order to feel amazing, live boldly, pursue our best life, make a splash and take full advantage of this day, week and year we've been gifted, we have to zone in on the other 163 hours of the week and be very selective with what we choose to read, watch and listen to. I'm not saying it's easy, as it took some real reprogramming, but having just experienced it, it is 100% worth it. I don't ever want to go back and I know you won't want to either.
Love,
