Member Spotlight: Meet At Home Member, JJ Langston!

iGnite IS our members! They make us what we are, which is why we LOVE spotlighting them! Meet JJ! JJ is one of our many COVID blessings, as she started iGniting At Home in October 2020...and since joining, it's been a match made in heaven! Not only does JJ consistently show up with a smile on her face and ready to have fun, but she works HARD! In fact, to date JJ has taken 164 Live At Home classes and that's not including our Video Library classes. And so, without further adieu, meet JJ.

Where do you live and how do you iGnite? I live in Austin and i iGnite at home.

Favorite exercise song?

Right now my favorite is “Light of a Clear Blue Day” by Dolly Parton.

What do you do right after class?

I take a quick shower and go back to work looking pretty scraggly.

What's saving you right now?

Hibiscus Passion Tea with tons of lime and Sonic Ice (and sometimes with vodka).

Favorite word?

Light is one of my most favorite words and has been particularly important during the tumultuous past couple of years. Ultimately, light

represents God’s Love to me and also Hope. I am powerfully reminded of the 80’s Motel 6 commercial in which Tom Bodett promises “We’ll leave the light on for you.” I am really thankful for several people who have left both a literal light on for me and a figurative one. They are the

lighthouse people, the “this little light of mine” people and their gift in dark times is a witness, a comfort and a joy.

What has been your favorite job and do you still do it?

My favorite job has been where I work currently with the Andy Roddick Foundation. My colleagues are fun and wonderful and we have the

opportunity to work on behalf of amazing young students and their families.

What word to you mutter while doing burpees?

Oh S#%t!

What class do you most look forward to and why?

More than one particular class, I love the variety! Each one is new and challenging and fun.

Who’s your biggest cheerleader and what do they do for you?

I’m grateful to have some dear friends, and I think we all motivate and cheer for each other and simultaneously keep one another accountable. They’re also hilarious which is fun and helps me keep perspective.

What do you love most about iGnite?

Neissa’s classes are my favorite part of iGnite because she is so welcoming, encouraging, fun and helpful. It’s always inspiring to see her!
