iGnite Spotlight: Austin Member, Martha Lynn Mangum

Roots

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas/I’ve been in Austin since 1986 to go to UT and I never left!

Family Life

I am married to Greg Mangum for 9 years. I have 2 kids: Jackson (22), Madelynn (19), and 2 step sons Mark(25), and Kyle (21). 3 of them are still in college!!

Work Life

I am an executive coach that specializes in communication, leadership development, and culture

Who inspires you the most and why?

Musicians! I’m so non-musical and I have such respect for anyone who can sing, play and instrument, and perform.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

My dad always told me that my word and my character are the most important things in life. Nobody will remember what I have or don’t have, but they will remember how they experienced me.

Something people may not know about you?

I’m a crazy cat lady!

If I were an ice cream flavor, I would be...

Vanilla…I’ve learned to stay neutral and I can blend in with anybody!

Favorite Color

Blue/gray…it calms me.

Celebrity Look-Alike

I’ve been told I look like Leslie Mann. I think it’s because we have the same coloring!

What are you looking forward to?

Football Season!!!!

Favorite Book and Why?

I don’t just have one; however, one that sits on my bedside table is Dying To Be Me.

Favorite TV Show?

Game of Thrones- It’s the ultimate study of human behavior!

When I have free time I'm doing this...

I’m very chatty. I love talking on the phone and connecting with family and friends.

When I attended the iGnite Escape in Coeur d'Alene, ID, my favorite part about the trip was...

Besides the incredible biking, hiking, zip lining, rafting, kayaking, and great company, I would say the unstoppable laughter was the best part for me!

The biggest lesson I've learned from iGnite is....

The power of a community of women. I have never been a part of such a loving, supportive, encouraging group of humans that want me to be healthy physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually! The workout environment is fun, challenging, and full of love! I feel blessed to have my iGnite family.
