Watermelons are 90% water, however they are also packed with nutrients. This delicious and refreshing fruit has significant levels of vitamins A, B6 and C, lots of lycopene, antioxidants and amino acids.
Due to its high levels of lycopene, citrulline and arginine, watermelon is good for heart health
Lycopene is an inhibitor for various inflammatory processes and also works as an antioxidant to neutralize free radicals, therefore watermelon is great for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Because of the large amounts of Vitamin A and Vitamin C found in watermelon, it is stellar for your skin and also encourages healthy growth of new collagen and elastin.
