Write Down & Create Your Vision

Point To Ponder: What do you want to experience in 2021?

If you've been part of our community for at least the past year you know I'm a huge believer in writing down goals, creating a vision board and getting very specific about the people, places and things you want in your life and you want your life to reflect, including your health your fitness. This time last year (Jan 2020) I encouraged you to create a vision board. Though a big believer in vision boards, it had been several years since I had created a new one, therefore I created both a professional and personal one that I hung in my office. Fast forward to December 13, just a few weeks ago, we (in Tulsa) received an unusual amount of snow. It snowed several inches, the kids loved it, played hard, and while taking pictures of them playing, it dawned on me I was taking pictures of an image similar to one on my vision board. I couldn't believe it!

Last January when I added the snowy picture cut out to my vision board, I also cut out and included the words "white Christmas". I have never dreamt of a white Christmas, rather, I just thought it would be fun to have a white Christmas. While the picture on my vision board is of two kids doing a handstand next to an upside down snowman, and the picture I took of my kids is them having snowball fight next to snowman decorations, the picture on my vision board was symbolic of us having fun during a snowy Christmas season...and we were gifted that treat. I love this!

As you might predict my encouragement for you is to create a vision board and/or write down your goals and vision for 2021. I also urge you to make this happen by Jan 31. Remember this: you are 42% more likely to achieve what you want when you create it (like a vision board) or write it down. That statistic isn't up for debate. That is a cold, hard, proven fact.

Happy Visioning and Here's to a Healthy, Happy and Strong 2021!
