The Best Among Us: A Veteran's Day Tribute

In this picture is iGnite Austin member and United States Navy Veteran, Troye Campbell. Troye is with her three daughters: Holly, Casey and Kylie. From left to right is Troye, then her daughter Holly, #3 (19 year Sophomore at University of Stanford, where she plays volleyball for the defending National Champions). Far right is Kylie (15 year old Sophomore at Westlake High School), and to Kylie's left is Casey (17 year old Senior at Westlake High School and is committed to play volleyball at Santa Clara University).

Do you ever wonder what a veteran looks like? If you iGnite in Austin it's likely you iGnite next to one. It's also likely we pass veterans everyday, more than once, and don't even know it. Veterans look like you and me, have daughters, sons, grandchildren, regular jobs and are extremely humble. They keep to themselves, don't crave attention and when they get thanked for their service they reply with a simple "Thank you", or "It was my pleasure". These people are the heroes among us who felt a calling and sense of duty to serve our country and defend our freedoms. To me, they are the best of the best!

iGnite Austin member and mom of three beautiful daughters, Troye Campbell, is a U.S. Navy Veteran and the best among us. Troye, like every veteran I've ever come in contact with is beyond humble, is a committed and dedicated mom and friend and has a servant's heart. Despite Troye's humility, in honor of Veteran's Day, she is allowing us to feature her, her life and service.

Thank you Troye for your bravery and service in defending our freedoms. It is because of your courageous and selfless service that we get to enjoy our daily freedoms. You are the best among us and we are so grateful for you and all veterans.
