iGnite IS our members! They make us what we are, which is why we LOVE spotlighting them! This week, we invite you to meet Austin Member, Shannon Holland! There's sooo many things we love about Shannon, but two big ones are: she is probably the nicest person you'll ever meet and when she is committed...NOTHING will stop her..and we love her so much!
How long have you been a member?
Five years!
Where do you live and how do you iGnite?
I live in Austin and I attend the Rollingwood classes, but would also like to add pilates and Betty's Dance Class when I can.
Where did you grow up?
West Texas and Chicago
How did you become a part of iGnite?
We had just moved to Austin from Chicago and I was looking to get into a workout routine again after having Weston, my second child.
I went to Rollingwood park on morning with my kids and I ran into Kathleen and she was so warm and welcoming, her class looked wonderful so I decided to give it a try. Of course I loved it.
What do you do right after class?
Rush my daughter home to take her nap in her crib so she doesn't fall asleep in the car and I can shower in peace.
What's your favorite exercise song?
Gosh this is a hard one. Its just depends what mood I'm in. But the one go to song at the moment that get's me pumped up is Bruno Mars "24k Magic".
What's your most favorite word?
Love
Who’s your biggest motivator and what do they do for you?
My husband, he's always challenging me to be better and do better, and he really believes in me and is my biggest cheerleader.
What's been your favorite job and do you still do it?
Being a mother is the best (most exhausting) job I have ever had!
What class do you most look forward to and why?
I love all the classes but I will say the OG for me, which is Kathleen's classes when I can make them (once every blue moon). She is amazing!
What’s something about you that we’d be surprised to learn?
I love cooking
What do you mutter while doing burpees?
This is good for me! And the F word after five of them.
What’s saving you right now?
I feel like my dog George is just a source of calmness for me, he is my furry everything and has been by my side through all the pregnancy's, night feedings, and a lot of other stuff. He really brings me so much joy and I feel like he brings calm to our lives with how relaxed he always seems to be.
Oh and also Cold Brews.
What are your favorite local and not local social media accounts to follow?
I try to stay off SM but I do love the cooking accounts
If you were going to invite a friend along to iGnite, what would you say to encourage them to come?
I would say that you need this in your life, you will feel amazing from the work out, but also it's a wonderful community of women and a great positive atmosphere to start your day!
