Mother's Day Yin Yoga Workshop

Explore the Benefits of Yin Yoga

A Mother’s Day Donation Only Class, Benefiting the Helping Hand Home for Children

Date – Saturday, May 13th

Time – 2:00 – 4:00pm

Location – Castle Hill Fitness 1112 North Lamar Blvd

In contrast to the more dynamic Yang (muscular and skeletal) practice, Yin Yoga focuses on the practice of non-striving, staying in the sensation of a pose (while supported) and meditation. This practice restores one to optimal health by engaging in asana that support and strengthen the connective tissues of the body -- the joints, ligaments and bones. Sometimes referred to as "hug a bolster yoga" this practice focuses on longer held, supported postures.

Join Amy Younkman and Paula Harnish as they lead you in two-hours of quieting the mind and celebrating the gift of Motherhood in this all-levels workshop which is sure to inspire you. Come support the Helping Hand Home for Children, a local non-profit founded in 1893 offering residential services and therapeutic foster care for abandoned, abused and neglected children.

Our two-hour iGnite Yoga Workshops provide an opportunity for you to deepen your yoga practice and designed to take your practice to a new level. Amy Younkman and Paula Harnish create exciting and educational topics to keep your practice interesting, evolving and your body, mind and spirit connected and renewed. Recent yoga workshops series include Yoga for Healthy Aging, Foundations & Alignment and Roll & Recover.
