Agility, Cardio & Strength Team Leader

I have always been one to find peace and relaxation in being outside.

I grew up In Houston, Texas and moved to Austin after graduating from Texas Tech University in 2009. I am a fifth grade teacher that is passionate about the world around me, people, learning, and fitness. I am married to my husband, Jon, and we have a yellow lab named Bonnie. When I am not teaching my fifth graders, Jon, Bonnie, and I are usually running Town Lake or hiking the Barton Creek Greenbelt.

My iGnite Journey:

Five years ago one of my best friends, Molly Daniels, introduced me to iGnite. I was instantly drawn to iGnite, because as a teacher I was in need of a way to stay healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have always been one to find peace and relaxation in being outside. Because of iGnite, I have the privilege to workout with and be inspired by a fantastic group of women.

Something People May Not Know About Me:

I am missing my top two rib bones. Due to my years playing volleyball, I suffered from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome which caused two blood clots, one in my right shoulder when I was 15 and a second in my left shoulder when I was 21. I had surgery to remove the ribs in 2009 after I graduated from college.
