The 2021 Retreat will be better than ever! We have carefully and intentionally redesigned some of our activities to ensure more time outdoors, minimum transportation needs, and added safety/sanitation measures for your health and piece of mind.

iGnite COVID Safety Measures

Be assured that the health and safety of you, our retreaters (and your families back home) is our number one priority. We will be carefully monitoring updates provided by health experts and government officials leading up to (and during) the retreat.

We have put a great deal of thought into our activities, how to redesign them, and how to ensure that all our retreaters remain healthy. This begins before we arrive!

Prior to departure, we will have a Travel Safety Checklist so all retreaters can feel as comfortable as possible about their upcoming retreat. We will ask that everyone attending the retreat be:

  • symptom free for at least 10 days prior to departure

  • fever free for at least 48 hours prior to departure

  • social distance as much as possible the week leading up to the retreat

  • COVID testing will not be required, but encouraged. Anyone with a positive COVID test will not be able to attend the retreat. If you previously tested positive for COVID in the last 3 months (prior to departure), we ask that you take another test to ensure a COVID-negative result.

Here are just a few things we are doing to increase our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy environment for you, our retreaters.

iGnite COVID Safety Measures

  • 1. High touch surfaces in the house will be sanitized frequently and hand sanitizing areas will be available around the house.

  • 2. We will conduct regular reminders (but not annoyingly so) about good hygiene, covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, avoiding touching your face/mouth, and not sharing personal items like towels, blankets, etc. Speaking of this--everyone will have their own personal blanket to snuggle with outdoors or in the house--and we will have extra towels on hand too.

  • 3. After the completion of every activity, we will disinfect all areas that were used during the activity.

  • 4. For our meals, our chef will wear gloves and a face mask while serving meals to retreaters. Any CDC guidelines or requirements created in response to COVID-19 will be followed to the best of our abilities during the preparation, service and clean-up of all meals.

  • 5. For any group transportation to activities or to/from the airport, we will have 2 vehicles available for retreaters, and will ask everyone to wear a mask.

  • 6. We will be spreading out the furniture inside and outside to allow for social distancing.

  • 7. Our activities will be outdoors whenever possible.

  • 8. We will check temperatures of any outside service providers (massage therapists, activity leaders, etc.) before they enter the house.

  • 9. We have a cleaning service coming between retreat trips to clean and sanitize the house, making it ready for the second group.

  • 10. We are open to hearing your concerns and ideas about how to make this retreat as healthy as possible, and we always welcome your questions!

Airline Safety

We certainly understand if flying is a concern.  That is why we thought you'd appreciate most recent and very positive flying information from Southwest Airlines:

  • Among 1.2 billion air passengers worldwide between January and July in 2020, there were 44 published cases of COVID-19 transmission thought to be potentially linked to the travel journal.

  • A recent modeling study suggested the universal use of surgical masks in the setting of ventilation rates of aircraft might reduce infection rick from respiratory particles to less than 1%

What IF California requires a mandatory quarantine for travels?

In the event California requires a mandatory quarantine, we will cancel the retreat.  We will reschedule the retreat and you will have the option of transferring your payment to the rescheduled retreat or receiving a full refund.
