General Questions
Is iGnite a “boot camp”?
No. iGnite is a positive, inspirational and personal outdoor fitness experience designed for women. We focus on physical, mental and spiritual wellness, with an emphasis on empowerment and fun.
Is this a running group?
No. Running is not required, but there will be opportunities during most classes to run, jog, or power walk. Interested iGnite participants are also invited to participate in local races (typically for charity) as the “iGnite Monarchs.”
What types of classes does iGnite have?
We offer a variety of over 20 classes each week in various outdoor locations and one indoor location in the Austin area. Classes include cross training, yoga, swimming, Pilates, dance and more.
How long is each session, or Journey?
We iGnite year-round in seasonal sessions called “Journeys.” There are 3 Journeys throughout the year: Fall (late August – December), Spring (January – May), and Summer (June – early August). However, you can join us at any time!
What fitness level is required to participate in iGnite classes?
We welcome all fitness levels in iGnite. While we offer modifications and amplifications within each class, different classes move at a faster pace than others. If you are not sure where to start, please contact hello@igniteyourlifenow.com and we will gladly help find a perfect fit for you!
Is there an age limit to participate?
iGnite encourages women of all ages to live an active, healthy, and balanced life. However, our classes are designed for adults, 18 years of age and above. High school students may attend on occasion with parental supervision. All participants are required to fill out our Medical & Liability Waiver.
Enrollment Questions
How do I enroll?
Visit our join page and register online. Please register before attending your first class. In order to experience all that iGnite has to offer, we encourage new participants to sign up for a two week trial. During the two week trial, participants enjoy a week’s worth of unlimited class access for free, followed by a second week at a discounted rate of $10.00 per class.
Do I need to commit to one class time?
No. Because we realize that each day of life is different, we give our participants the flexibility to choose which classes to attend each week and adjust their schedule as their needs and wants change. There is no need to sign up for class in advance.
Can I bring my payment to the first class?
No. All registration occurs online and payments can be made via check or credit card. Please register online before attending your first class. If you have questions, please contact iGnite Billing at billing@igniteyourlifenow.com.
Are there a maximum number of participants in each Journey?
No. However, iGnite classes are intentionally intimate in size to allow for safe and individual attention. Our classes also include a strong social element, and participants often form personal bonds and lasting friendships.
Do I have to purchase any special equipment?
Yes. To ensure a consistent experience, All Access iGnite participants are required to have a basic set of equipment (available through our online shop) along with a yoga mat and pair of both 3 and 5 pound dumbbells. Power Hour Only participants are required to have a yoga mat.
Are men ever allowed at iGnite classes?
While the large majority of iGnite classes are for our female participants only, we do welcome male friends & family members at particular classes. Men are welcomed to attend our Power Hour classes, with the exception of Dance Fit or Zumba®, as well as our interim classes, offered during the breaks between Journeys. Participation Questions
What is expected of me as an iGnite participant?
We ask that you put forth your best effort, bring a positive attitude, arrive on time, and challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. iGnite focuses on cooperation, not competition. All participants are expected to support and encourage each other.
How will I know where class meets?
Meeting locations will vary throughout the Journey. The class schedule will be updated each week with the current locations. In the event of inclement weather, please be sure to check the schedule for any last-minute changes. Please make sure we have your current email address, as well.
What do I need to bring with me?
Always bring your yoga mat and water. Please refer to the online schedule to see which equipment you’ll need for class that week. Click on the class description for more information on each class type.
What should I wear?
Keep in mind most classes take place outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Always wear comfortable workout clothes and supportive athletic shoes. Good shoes are extremely important for safety, comfort, and injury prevention. For a complimentary shoe fitting, iGnite recommends visiting Texas Running Co., Hill Country Running, or Luke’s Locker. For women’s athletic clothing, we recommend our hand-picked selection from the iGnite Shop, Bettysport, or lululemon athletica.
